NFT Relics Artifacts of a forgotten digital cult The collection Every NFT is an altar. Every object standing on it is a relic, and every relic traces back to a collection, a symbol or a moment from the years when a jpeg could be a personality and a token was going to change everything. Skulls. Coins. Masks. Idols. Amulets. Banners nobody carries anymore. The altar does not miss any of it. It just holds what was left behind. Six relics are stacked on every altar, one per layer, and no two altars carry the same six. With 130+ relics in the set, each one ends up its own small record of the era. Rarity Rarity here reflects what is still findable today, not how loudly a project once dominated the timeline. A collection that owned a whole season can be common now, and a small forgotten object can be the rare one. Every relic is worth Relic Points. The six together give the altar its Relic Score. The altar is not a still image An altar is a living object on chain. Its relics can be swapped for stronger ones, and when they are, the artwork, the traits, the Relic Score and the Resonance all change with them. Marketplaces are told to re-read it. ◆ Activation An altar starts dormant. Activation writes its exact six relics on chain, proved cryptographically, so the layout it was minted with is the layout it keeps. Nobody can claim a better one after the fact. △ Expeditions Everyone leaves in the same round and comes back at the same moment. The number that decides the finds is committed as a hash before a single entry is taken, then revealed afterwards, so anyone can recompute the result and check it. Nothing about the draw is decided by this website. ⇆ Replacing a relic A relic you find can take the place of a weaker one in the same layer. The rule is simple and enforced by the contract, not the page: a Relic Score never goes down, and the body of the altar is never replaced. The relic you take off is not destroyed, it goes back into your holdings. ↗ Progress travels with the altar Everything an altar accumulates is tied to the altar itself, not to a wallet. Sell it and every upgrade goes with it. The more there are, the higher the Resonance. Most altars carry one or two. Three is lucky. Four is very rare. None 0 I 1 II 2 III 3 IV 4 V never Anomaly Every altar carries one hidden attribute. It is not decoration and it is not explained at launch. Some combinations of relics should not sit together. When they do, the altar is marked. Rankings Altars sorted by Relic Score, by Resonance, by how rare their combination actually is across the collection. The Ritual Altars will be able to do things together, and holding one will be worth something over time. More on this closer to the date. Affinity Affinity says what a relic is, not what it references. The STEPN sneaker is Cultural because it is a shoe; the fact that it came out of an NFT project is already counted as a Crypto Relic. Every relic has exactly one affinity, and the six together give the altar its profile. Almost nothing here is Digital, and that is the point. What the era left behind is physical junk, not code.
